Most of our consultants have worked in the capacities of Employer, Contractor and Consultant. They are very familiar with the tender process and can work well on both sides of the fence. MetroSolutions has a very sound track record in this area, and the successful tenders cover both civil and E&M engineering.
Most of our consultants have worked in planning, design and construction of major infrastructural projects, and are very familiar with the tasks associated with each phase of the project planning cycle. Our consultants brought along with them a wealth of experience as well as a sound understanding of the international best practices. They comprise civil engineers, E&M engineers as well as control engineers. MetroSolutions does not undertake design tasks, but are often deployed in design reviews. Besides individual disciplines, MetroSolutions can also provide cross-discipline functions such as interface management, system integration, system assurance, etc.

MetroSolutions has experienced contracts engineers who can assist clients in contract formation, contract administration, claims management, and settlement of final accounts.
MetroSolutions has a strong team of consultants with years of experience in railway operation and maintenance. On the operations side the expertise include: traffic management, train crew management, station management, planning, ticketing and revenue management, operational safety, etc. On the maintenance side, the expertise cover civil and infrastructure, plant and building services, systems such as signaling, communications, rolling stock and depot equipment, trackwork and power supplies. They can also undertake asset management tasks. MetroSolutions has teamed up with the Taipei Metro to deliver such services.
The safety function is led by Stanley Robertson, the former Chief Inspecting Officer of Railways in UK. He has over 40 years of safety and system assurance experience himself and the other consultants would have no less than 20 years in the field. The safety team does safety review, safety audits and develops safety procedures. The team is especially instrumental in the pre-inspection activities during the commissioning and trial running period where the shortfalls are identified prior to inspection by government officials.
MetroSolutions has a complete crew to launch a smart card project. Besides the technical team, MetroSolutions also has expertise in solving legal issues (such as dealing with governments, formation of the shareholder's agreement, formation of a clearing agreement with service providers), financial issues (such as accounting standards, custodian arrangements), operational issues and marketing issues. MetroSolutions undertake agency services for different companies. Currently MetroSolutions acts as agent for the railway market for the Zeno advertising technology, and also as agent for the overseas markets for the STEC Forerunner Tunnel Boring Machine.
